Shooting Training with Pistol, Carbine and Shotgun

Course description

Depending on the situation the participant learns to make fast, correct decisions and to react.

From a 3-weapon mix, consisting of a pistol, an assault rifle and a shotgun, the seminar participant, under enormous pressure of time, has to select the appropriate weapon and  eliminate various opponents.

This seminar is suitable for professional shooters with Modern Isosceles training.

As a pistol, a self loading gun  and a repeater are used in the tactical field, the seminar participant will be trained on all the systems in this seminar.

Requirement

The successfully passed HRT seminars are required:

  • Master Carbine C3

  • Master Pistol P3

  • Master Shotgun SG 3

Preparations

Theory:

  • The 4 safety rules for the safe handling of firearms

  • Mindset (mental readiness to fight)

Practice:

  • Fixing the holster / thigh holster, magazine pouches, knee pads, gloves, chest righ if available, a sling, a flashlight, a radio/headset

  • Handling the radio and the headset:

  • The instructor commands in this seminar are done via the radio (R). The HRT Academy will make them available to the seminar participants free of charge for the seminar.

  • Partial tactical gloves are used in the master seminars

Practical shooting education

Seminar: 2 Gun Master Dynamic Defense Combo - Pistol / Carbine / Shotgun

  • Closed eyes pistol/ carbine/shotgun and mag loading - unloading drill

  • Correct bending and trigger control - pistol / carbine - dot drill without time limit, trigger - shotgun drill

  • Detecting and eliminating weapon disruptions, malfunctions, stress in various positions -  drill - (R) 

  • Eyes closed pistol / carbine / shotgun transition- drill - (R)​

  • 3 gun double transition drill (Joe Betge) - pistol to carbine - carbine to pistol - pistol to shotgun - shotgun to pistol - carbine to shotgun - shotgun to carbine - (R)

  • 3 gun chaos reload - drill - proactive reload - reactive reload - injured reload - emergency reload - drill - (R)

  • 3 gun one-armed shooting and weapon manipulation - pistol / carbine / shotgun - continuing defense after an injury - (R)

  • 3 gun transition - fast multiple target shooting - shooting from free and assisted positions - (R)

  • Shooting multiple targets in special positions - SBU prone - reverse rollover - supine - broke back prone - (R)

  • 3 gun - close quarter gun fight- range 0-3m transition from unarmed self-defense to weapon use transition - (R)

  • 3 gun last chance - dril  (Joe Betge) - (R)

  • Weapon access-shotgun to pistol to carbine- transition in the ongoing confrontation - (R)

  • 3 gun last man standing - (Joe Betge)  transition - drill - (R)

  • 3 gun close quarter - pistol / shotgun / carbine - range 0-2m transition from unarmed self-defense to weapon use - (R)

  • 3 gun pistol / carbine / shotgun - chaos drill

  • 3 gun transition 1.2.3. drill - (R)

  • 3 gun no mercy drill - (Joe Betge) - (R)

Evaluation

  • Shot image evaluation and error analysis

  • Weapon cleaning: disassembling, cleaning, assembling the weapon

  • Equipment: a holster, magazine pouches, shooting glasses, hearing protection, a lamp, ammunition

  • Cool down/an evening BBQ / dinner together

Equipment

The equipment must be provided by the participant himself.

 

Weapons and technology:

  • All three weapons have normal metal sights - red dot sight / iron sight or red dot / laser targeting!

  • Pistol from 9x19 para - 500 rounds factory ammunition

  • Carbine caliber from (5.45x39) - (.223 Rem / 5.56 x 45 NATO) to (.308 win / 7.62 x 51 NATO) - 300 rounds of factory ammunition

  • Shotgun, repeating shotgun, semi-automatic cal. 12/70 -12/76 - 200 slugs - 150 trap -

  • 50 buckshot (00) - factory ammunition -

  • Minimum 4 magazines per weapon / a magazine pouch

Equipment:

  • Weapon sling. The best would be a 2 point or 3 point sling.

  • Knee pads. Who likes can also use elbow pads.

  • Chest righ if available

  • Range bag, a backpack, a bipod, or similar as a weapon pad

  • Flashlight with trouser clip or holster - and a sturdy safety leash for the wrist

  • Attention! Your clothing can get wet and dirty
